Josie Maran Argan Oil | Review

"Oil and my oily complexion DO NOT go!"

This is what I used to always tell myself.  Always envious of women who would buy decadent facial oils from lush brands, I never once thought that maybe... just maybe I could buy one that might work for me.

My skin had been clear for quite some time but I started to notice a few dry patches around my mouth and eyes.  I didn't want to buy a new moisturizer because I was afraid switching to a non-gel formula to help with the dryness would cause a breakout and they're f-ing expensive.
I turned to this oil after having heard Nicole Guerriero rave about it.

0.5 ounce - $15
1.7 ounce - $48
4 ounce - $96

This oil is 100% pure and organic.  No nasties here :)
I found it to be very moisturizing without being too greasy.
I apply with index, middle and ring fingers and simply massage into the skin.
I found it absorbs within 20 minutes and doesn't sit on top of the skin.
Please keep in mind that a little goes a long way.
I use 3 drops for my entire face.

It is a great oil to apply directly onto freshly cleansed skin before applying a night cream.
I only use this product during my evening skincare routine.  I find it a bit too nourishing under my makeup for daytime and I don't have the patience to wait for it to sink in when I'm rushing in the mornings.

This oil helped with my dry patches, improved the quality / texture of my skin and has anti-aging properties.
Guess what?  I use it on my nail beds, hair and any dry skin on my body.
It instantly nourishes and makes dry hair feel hydrated, without any of the added silicones.
Hooray!  I can't see this ever not being a part of my beauty regime.

Has anyone else tried this?
What did you all think?

If you haven't I would highly recommend purchasing if you are in search of a multipurpose oil.

Bioderma Créaline H2O Solution Micellaire

I hope I don't start crying as I sit here writing this post.  I knew this would happen.
Yes it's true, as the millions of reviews can attest.

Boy, the French do know their skincare! *sigh*

I was in search of a cleansing water that would remove the bulk of my makeup without much mess.
Clean.Simple.Effective.
I'm not a fan of makeup removing wipes as I feel they smear my makeup as opposed to removing it.
I hoped to reserve my expensive cleansers for a deeper cleanse after the majority of my makeup had been removed.
Although it's not readily available in the United States, I took the plunge and purchased it on Amazon.

Bioderma Créaline H2O
500ml
$25 - Amazon Seller
$20 shipping and handling!

Bioderma is the gentlest and most effective cleanser I have ever used.
I simply pop the top off and dispense the product onto a cotton pad and begin wiping away the makeup.
It melts the makeup right off!
I was always a bit skeptical but you must take my word for it.
It's hypoallergenic and fragrance free which is ideal for sensitive skins.

Cons

The price.
I paid close to $50 for one bottle (500ml).
Granted, it is a big bottle but I'm essentially purchasing two bottles and only getting one.
The bottle lasts more or less around 1.5 months for me.

Doesn't remove waterproof mascara.
I have read blogs claiming that it can.
Not for me.
I use a separate eye makeup remover but I really wish this did the entire job.

Overall, this is one of the best products I have ever used.
It agrees with my picky, sensitive skin without over drying.
On nights out and the last thing I want to do is cleanse my face, I use Bioderma alone and I don't feel guilty when I wake up in the morning.
If it removed waterproof mascara I would definitely purchase again but because of the price I'm going to look around for something else.
I'm jealous of those who live in Europe and can purchase online or at drugstores for a bargain!
If I can't find a comparable micellaire cleanser I'm going to repurchase without hesitation.

Lets start a petition and get Bioderma products in the U.S.!
